Kurdish kilim/pile wall hanging, wool on wool, 50-60 years old, 3x3ft.
Such a beautiful little piece. This one has a great history, you can just imagine it hanging in the tents of the nomadic peoples of the Zagros Mountains on the border of Iraq.
*Note: A kilim is a flat-weave textile.
*Note: A knot-pile is a three-dimensional textile with up-down, left to right, and perpendicular knots that give it a typical wall-to-wall carpet appearance.
